Sony adds Facial Recognition

Take that Project Natal. Sony’s PlayStation eye-powered object motion detection is now getting facial recognition. Not only will it get facial recognition but it can detect gender, age, separate facial features such as the nose, eyes, and ears, and it can even tell if you are smiling or not.

The new system will also work with the Sony Motion Controller. The camera will have the ability to track X, Y, and Z motions by using the glowing ball. It is even rumored that Sony has developed every possible tech for the motion controllers, leaving game developers to focus on, well, developing games rather than how to control them. Sounds good to me.
