Natal is coming to Windows PCs, game devices, and televisions, Bill Gates said in an interview with CNET News this week. Oh the possibilities! I'd like to be able to ditch the mouse and keyboard at home and work. Imagine just dictating to a hot virtual secretar-...excuse me, administrative assistant, or valued team member. On those days that my PC refuses to cooperate, perhaps Natal would offer up a digital Bill Gates or Steve Ballmer to smack around? Let me clip Clippy to scrap metal? Give Natal that kind of functionality, and I'll buy TWO.

From Ina Fried comes further elaboration on how Gates expects Natal to work with everything in the home, and office. Here are a few snippets I found interesting.

"Speaking about all of the technology Microsoft has cooking in its labs, Gates said: 'I'd say a cool example of that, that you'll see... in a little over a year, is this (depth) camera thing.' Gates said it was not just for games, 'but for media consumption as a whole, and even if they connect it up to Windows PCs for interacting in terms of meetings, and collaboration, and communication.'

"'Both the Xbox guys and the Windows guys latched onto that and now even since they latched onto it the idea of how it can be used in the office is getting much more concrete, and is pretty exciting.'"
