Make Money Simply Playing a Video Game

Putting real money into a video game may seem silly to some, but if you've ever subscribed to World of Warcraft or downloaded extra tracks to Rock Band 2, it's not silly at all. In the past, the only return on investment was the hours of enjoyment received.
Now you can play a video game (other than online casino gambling) and earn extra cash. How?
Project Entropia.
MMO Project Entropia has always allowed you to put your real money into the game, but thanks to a Swedish bank, it can now be insured. You can invest up to $60,000 of your real money in-game, at a 10-to-1 exchange rate, and earn more by mining, hunting, or trading in-game.
Before you scoff, know that Project Entropia's in-game economy reached $420 million last year. You read it right, that's $420,000,000.00. AND people have been using the game's ATM card for a few years. Soon you'll be able to get loans, get interest on deposits and even deposit your paycheck directly to Project Entropia's Planet Calypso banking system. I have to wonder, though...if you default on an in-game loan, do they send Vinnie and Paulie to your virtual or real house? If your virtual legs are broken, do you have to pay for virtual hospital bills? Is there a virtual AFLAC to cover expenses while you're laid up?
Really though, I'm curious as to the payoff per hour played. Can one really make a profit?
Project Entropia is free to play, so check it out if you're into MMO games, and make sure you have a gaming PC up to the challenge.
