Ever since I was a wee mullet and ripped jeans-sporting lad, I wanted to be Metallica's drummer. Did anybody else get goosebumps when Lars Ulrich hammered the dual kick drums in the video for One? As I've aged, my musical tastes changed drastically, or so I thought. After seeing Metallica in concert a month ago I'm just brimming with metal lust. No longer content with wuss rock and Kelly Clarkson, the kid in me is back and excited to get my hands on Guitar Hero: Metallica. I've even begun growing my hair out again, so when I headbang it'll be done right: my own hair whipping my plump body into submission.

Enough preamble. Metallica posted the first video for their upcoming (Q1 2009) Guitar Hero game. Check it out, and click through for potent analysis and a few rumors.

It's been thought by many that GH: Metallica would be guitars only, but this trailer confirms that you can be the whole band!

I am even more excited by rumors floating about the Expert Plus mode, featuring a dual kick pedal! There are ways to rock two kick pedals in GH: World Tour, but most songs don't lend themselves to using them like Metallica's. And besides, you can't just go to the store or even Amazon and buy a second kick pedal; you have to get two drum sets or get lucky and score one at a pawn shop or on eBay, and you'll pay out the nose for it. Let's hope GH: Metallica come with its own special, more durable Metallica-brand kick pedal. In the meantime, check out this rumored track list (thanks X3F!).
