Buy New Games at Best Buy -- For Used Game Prices

It appears Best Buy is testing a new price matching policy in my very backyard. According to Joystiq and CAG, Best Buy will price match other retailers' used game prices on NEW games.

This may not be nationwide, but it's exciting to say the least. How many times have you been at GameStop and found a used game on sale for a mere five dollars off the new price? If someone has already violated the game and put a scratch or three in the disc, I expect a larger discount than that. To me it's worth it to spend the extra five bucks and get a new, unscathed game disc, which is probably at the root of GameStop's used game strategy anyway.

So far this looks like a localized test, but if it works well for Best Buy in Utah it may lead to a nationwide store policy. So if you're in Utah and want cheaper games for yourself and your out-of-state brethren, take Best Buy up on this offer and maybe we can all reap the rewards!
