All Signs Point to Slim PS3
Prior to E3 the scuttlebutt was that Sony would unveil a Slim PS3, prices would be slashed, etc., etc. Turns out neither happened, but it looks like the Slim PS3 will hit shelves just in time for Holidays '09.
First, Sony has discontinued the 80GB PS3, which in itself makes gamers' ears perk up, but with the 160GB PS3 price being cut $50 on Amazon, that makes us a lot more optimistic. Further speculation is that Sony will officially unveil the Slim at Gamescom on August 18th in Cologne, Germany. Oh, and one more thing, Amazon Germany briefly listed a "Playstation 3 Konsole Slim" on their site today, but the page is gone now.
That's it for the Slim PS3 rumor mill for now. More to follow in the coming weeks I'm sure. For more gaming and entertainment news, follow our Player page on Facebook or Twitter, or check these related posts:
